Il nostro olio extra vergine di oliva è stato scelto tra i vincitori del prestigioso concorso Leone d'oro

12 July is a date imprinted in the memory of the north of Bari: it is the day when 23 people, including the young Francesco, lost their lives in a train accident.
Since 2016, the chirping of the cicadas, the earth sneaking between the sandals, the hot midday sun and the shade of the olive trees as the only shelter have another meaning during the 12th of July.
Komorebi is the commemorative event that not only wants to remember Francesco through art, music, poetry and passion, but also to encourage us to reclaim the wonderful sensations that our land can offer.
That' s why Novemilachilometri is offering to Komorebi its beautiful olive grove in bloom to allow the event to take place at its best, in a place full of smells and suggestions.
These are the words of the Komorebi staff:
“The artists are called to manifest their art in an olive grove on the outskirts of Corato, totally empty but deeply rich in meaning. It is a symbolic place of our territory, known mainly for the production of its fruits, so of life and growth. But it is also a place of loss and pain, because it was in a large expanse of olive trees that the accident happened. Finally, it is a place of rebirth and hope, as well as the physical representation of the Japanese term Komorebi: light filtering through the branches of the trees.
The space will be set up in a simple and essential way, with some particular interventions that will require the participation of the public, who will not only be users of the residence but also protagonists. The installation will have references to Japanese culture, combining in one place two cultures that are very distant from each other but which can coexist thanks to the call of passions, music and art.”
